Pain...Pain..

I was very tired yesterday and therefore I ignored every other thing and turned myself in at 2030. I woke up suddenly at 0030 and felt so worried because I thought I had woke up late for my midnight duty until I told myself…hold on a minute I am now at home, lying on my own bed and there is no duty at all. At 0630, I woke up again and felt so worried because I thought I will be late reporting to camp at 0800 until I told myself…hold on a minute I have no duty for this weekend. I took 1 hour to fall back to sleep again after that. Dammit. I am so devoted to my job. Any rewards for me such as early ORD release?

I got an ulcer on my tongue and lip because of my greediness and now it is causing me a lot of pain of the past 3 days. My pronunciation and communication has suffered as a result which caused people to ask why I am talking so strangely. I guessed I went mad and hungry that day and wolfed down 7 packets of Apollo chocolate wafer biscuits one straight down my mouth. I can blame no one but myself…sob sob

For those who have watched the Project Superstar on Thursday, I guessed you will agreed with me entirely Kelly was the better singer, better performer, better entertainer. Credits to Kelvin for his courage and ability to belt up one heartwarming song after another but is he going to continue down this path after he cut his album? Whatever the case, Kelly got signed on by Universal Music (Global) while Kelvin got signed on by Play Music (Local) if you noticed…thus I guess the title don’t really matter anymore. When the result was announced, cries of congratulation and whistle did not fill up the room. (I was doing duty and watched the show with my fellow campmates in the recreation room that day) Instead, all the vulgarities that you can imagine were belted out by all of us. (What can you do about Army guys anyway?) It was truely a comical sight.

Renjie officially ORD on 020905. Although I have only known him for 4 months, he has been a great guy to hang around with. He is very comical, very down to earth, a little bit like Sa Qiang (Tony Leung sidekick acted by Chapman To in the Infernal Affairs) I am so happy for him to ORD and he in turn wrote me a testimonial in my Friendster.

so long dear friend..

"hey dude,i guess i owe u a testimonial...this skinny n funny dude is one of my platoon mates..he came after his ssc,in fact he was the first guy from ssc5 i talk to..he was the guy who went to ops tailor with me.In the end, this guy end up in platoon 1..he's one hell of a funny,easy-going n friendly guy..he always put in 101% in the things he does..it's defintely my pleasure knowing u in NS.Thou u are a veri nice person, but u are an arse because u still refused to show mi ur one true love foto..i still dun have the time to dig out who exactly she is..lolx..somedae i will !!Trust Mi!! all the best Alex!! ur time will come ...ORD Loh!"

Thank You for your testimonial. I must say deep from my heart it’s my pleasure to continue being an arse. Haha

Strangely, he didn’t go slapping others across the face when he got back his pink IC. He explained just as he comes to TDS without any fanfare, he will do the same and leaves TDS the same way. Suddenly I felt he matured a lot since the last time I saw him. In turn I promised to myself when my day comes, I will also walk down the same ridden path as he took and leave TDS quietly and peacefully.

Upon reading Cynthia post for Thursday 1st September 2005, she struck me upside down left and right with her thoughts on “Detachment”. I was pretty impressed with the post though I felt the more appropriate book should be “5 Persons You Meet In Heaven” instead of “Tuesday with Morrie” to further reinforce your point. Unfortunately she brought me back to earth with her quizzy thing. But never mind not to worry, 2 step forward 1 step backward is still an improvement. All the way Cynthia!
