It's the season to be jolly lalalalalalala

but the recent updates of the dragon boaters make people real sad. If you have read the news, they have dedicated almost daily 2 whole pages on the incidents daily and I saw the obituaries on 1 edition and damn, my whole spirit went into downcast looking at their picture. I understand that the council is looking into an inquiry regarding the incident and perhaps give a answer to the family members on what happened that actual day but I couldn't help thinking what's the point. Those people who were there in the water should have already told the grieving family members the actual truth..I don't think there is a need to tell the entire Singaporean the truth at all because this is not a charity CEO or accounting discrepancy gone wrong case so who's there to account for except for the people directly involved in the incident and the closely related families member. It cannot and will not bring them back.

I think their cortège's will be leaving today. It's always a tragedy when the opposite happens- white hair people sending black hair people off to their final journey and of course the final farewell.

I watched ROCKY BALBOA yesterday night. For those who are not familiar with the Rocky series, go search on Wiki. It's pretty popular in the 1970s starring Sylvester Stallone except for this time round Rocky have retired, he is old but still itching for 1 last fight, to get rid of the beast in him after his wife died of illness. The movie was alright, I think guys will like the movie more. Sylvester Stallone looked weird at first sight..I think he ate too much stuffs to build up his mass but the way he speaks; It's something of a person who been there, done that. Giving little wisdom here and there, trying to help in whatever way he could to people around him...until he announced his comeback for 1 last fight with the undisputed champion.

Watch him trained, hear the familiar Rocky tune in the background and you can't help feeling excited for him, how the ending will turn out. Will he defeat the young snob with his many limitations due to old age, or will he die out there on the ring itself? Everyone loves the underdogs, everyone always like a surprise in the end. If you want to know who won, look up at wiki yourself then ..Haha

But the show taught us something. There was this part when Rocky son berated his father for coming out of retirement, for exposing his son of those unwanted attentions again after trying so long to come out of his father BIG shadow..and you thought Rocky was defeated by his own son abolishing, until he turned back and delivered a counter punch to his son whining..here goes the inspiring speech:

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!"

This speech is awesome. I copied in down in my personal folder..until I saw another similar stuff I copied way long ago which has the same meaning as Rocky.

People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in the world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, make them.
George Bernard Shaw

Okk...so many speech so many quotes. Typed a lot for today. End of Story.
