Turn Ops Loh...

My On-Job- training officially ended on 12th May 2005. It marks another milestone for my career in the SAF because it means that I am fully operational for my duty. The only course that is left standing is the COMMANDER course which after completing it will “upgrade” my rank to 3rd Sergeant. Those who had undergone the same batch SISPEC 33rd BSLC as me has already got their 2 months ago. (I’m not fcuk up seriously I’m not… because there are 17 others who is also in the same boat as me and I can assure you we are not fcuk up at all!) But what matters and worried us is the back pay that is owed to us. (I have nothing against $$, the more the merrier) Thankfully, XO Sir gave his assurance that it shall be done. I figured believing 60% of what he promised is harmless so I’m gonna pinned 60% of my hope and $$ on him.

Turning operational also means that I have to follow a schedule to do my duty and it mean on certain weeks I will miss my weekend. “Figure This Out… 1st Week Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun 2nd Week Tue, Thur, Sat 3rd Week Rest + Training Week No Duty + Sat Sun Secured” This schedule shall rotate throughout my time in TDS until I ORD...which still has some time to go and therefore can’t smell it at all.

The hard fact of reality hit you when you discovered yourself booking out on weekdays after your 24 hours shift duty. I went home, sleep, wake up, switch on computer, eat lunch and dinner, watched TV, sleep again so that I don’t resemble a zombie the next duty day. Fcuking pathetic but what to do? My brudders and good friends are all waiting in camp for the weekend to arrive and book out. There is no female companion to spend my $$ and time on. (I don’t know whether it can be considered as bliss..can save $$ to for overseas trip in future mah blink blink hehe) In fact I can’t think of anything to achieve for the next 1 and ½ years. This will not do. Must Upgrade, must seek Improvement, must ADD VALUE to oneself. Damn..should have expand my social circle during my time in Poly.

But not to worry not to worry. I believed all it takes is just some time for me to adjust and adapt to the current condition. A schedule like above have its perks and disadvantages. Give some Take some and everything shall be fine. Well I suppose so…
