Respect

Another one!
Sometimes when you get too nice to the juniors, they forgot what the term "Respect" means and start to talk crap in front of you.
Then you start to wonder whether if you are too lenient with them.
The next best alternative solution? Scold them lor....
Scolding may not necessary be bad. “不骂不成才” mah. Even though I have been in this unit for near 1 year, I still kena scolding from my CSM every other day. The only important thing is not to get too upset after the scolding for if not your life will be very miserable as long as you are still serving NS.
With the projected Progress Package of $700 coming in on May, I am one step nearer to my goal!
P/s: On a hindsight however, time is running out to "jio" that JJC gal liao! Haha
The Fun about Facts and Numbers

This lady is so pretty woah...super duper nose bleed.
Cynderella the 1K gal got a shock when I informed her that Tokie may be enrolling in SIM for his further studies.
And it is all so funny because Cynderella have never ever meet Tokie in her entire life till now and her impression of Tokie is based on what I told her about Tokie daily doing in camp.
Propanganda is indeed a powerful brainwashing tool. Hehe
Tokie has always seem interested in finance and economics even though he is from the manufacturing background and so it sort of revived the economic interest in me to go and take out my sister economics textbook for a read.
I remembered once upon a time when economics is 1 of the subjects I find interesting during my 3 months at PJC + together with that knowledgable lecturer from Swiss Cottage whom I could not remember his name, it was one of the few joys of attending lectures.
Read as I did. Within a day, I managed to read 30 pages of the textbook. By then, a "brilliant idea" start forming up my head, urging me to register myself as a private candidate to take up economics for the "A" level even though I know it is pretty much useless to increase my worth. But perhaps it is only during these "free" period that I can entertain such thoughts though 1 thing for sure, I will strive to complete the book as well as the tutuorial to gain a deeper understanding on the subject.
And I bet you a million dollar Tokie is going to snatch my textbook away from me if I bring it to camp on Monday.
V is for Vendetta

Watch it if you have the opportunity. It's good stuff.
But if you are like my fren Tokie with a relatively simple state of mind about everything, then don't watch it. it will leave you disillusioned and confused instead. Haha
For a moment yesterday, I thought as myself a student roaming around Orchard Road on a weekday without any hoot in the world. So carefree lol.
A Season For Love

I have just rented this movie to watch but I'm too tired and lazy to write my own review because I just completed my IPPT test today and now my knee joints and thighs are aching from the 2.4km run and my right thumb hurt after bending it awkwardly during a basketball game.
What supposely thought to be a nice movie about lovely doodly feel good "feeling" about love end up in one "love tradegy" after another
Moral of the Story: Looks can be deceiving.
Story about the couple on the first top left hand side of the poster:
Ha-seok (Cha Tae-hyun) gets dumped by his girlfriend, Sook-hyun (Son Tae-young) because he has been jobless for 3 years. After a stranger approaches the depressed Ha-seok on the street, asking him to help her break up with her boyfriend on the phone, Ha-seok sets up an online “Separation Agency” to help couples break up if they don’t have the courage to do it themselves. His so-called business venture is a hit. While thinking that he is on the right track to patch things up with his ex, he receives a shocking message to deliver.
Ending: His ex signed up with his Seperation Agency to ask him to deliver a sepration message to himself that she has found a new love.
Story about the couple on the second top right hand side of the poster:
Jin-woo (Jung Woo-sung) and Soo-jung (Im Soo-jung) make your typically clichéd romantic and witty on-screen couple. The fireman is very passionate about his job and Soo-jung is a sign-language news interpreter who’s always anxious every time she hears news of fire breakouts. She longs to settle down but Jin-woo never really gets around to popping the question. And when he finally does, duty calls.
Ending: He died in a fire rescue effort on the day he is going to propose to his girlfriend.
Story about the couple on third bottom left hand side of the poster:
Su-eun (Shin Min-ah), is Soo-jung’s younger deaf mute sister who was saved from a fire by Jin-woo. She falls for a portrait painter, Sang-gyu (Lee Ki-woo) in a theme park where she works as a mascot. The lovable pair bring out a lot of laughter as Su-eun turns cheeky with her mascot appearance, all that without Sang-gyu actually seeing her face. What Sang-gyu thought was a game of hard-to-get was actually Su-eun’s attempt to hide her horrid burn marks on her face. But when Su-eun finally plucks out the courage to reveal herself, Sang-gyu shares a revelation.
Ending: The potrait painter was dismayed that the potrait he dreamt that could be the prettiest work in his life was ruin by the burn mark on her face.
Story about the mother and son on third bottom right hand side of the poster:
Ju-young (Yeom Jung-ah) is a workaholic who rarely spends time with her 8-year-old son, Hwi-chan (Yeo Jin-gu). Only after Ju-young is hospitalised and diagnosed with cancer does the non-existent relationship starts to change for the better. The heart-wrenching and emotional scenes between the mother and son depict a kind of love that can hardly be found elsewhere, bringing the movie to another level.
Ending: The mother died of stomach cancer in the end.
But overall the movie was quite touching. I like.
Btw, My IPPT result. Silver again.
Sleep

The feeling over these few days spent sleeping on my own bed at night is great.
No more loud snoring from others.
No more funny sound or movement generated at night.
No more waking up at odd hours during the sleep and wondering "Fuck...is it time for my duty?" or "Dammit, 2 more hours before my duty start."
No more 1 shot 5 hours straight duty from 5am to 10am before I can start my 1st rest of 1 hour.
It seem that once this standby week end, the gang of 5 will start clearing leave one by one to before they ORD.The die will be cast, the wheel will start to turn, starting from Gary then XiaoJian follow by Tokie before Me and ending with Zhihao.
Before you know it, the era will be gone soon.
Taste Of Forbidden Fruit

Remember the JJC gal I mentioned before in the blog?
I have not seen her for quite some time back. Perhaps it might be due to the 1 week school holiday break or perhaps it might be the difference in timing during the journey to work or school.
But anyway I saw her again today.
Somehow it is just a great feeling to have someone familiar to be around with on the monotonous daily/monotonous journey to camp.
But not to worry, amid all the craps and actions I might have said to my campmates to "Get to Know her better", deep down inside I know I prefer to leave it as it is.
Step the step, the next thing that I should look forward to is ORD...not mentally confusing and physically taxing relationship matters.
If you don't believe me, just ask "Mr Tall Tall Guy" Song Yh. Haha
Die liao, with this type of slack mentality, how to find girlfriend in NTU?
Standby Week is finally here!
Standby Week is finally here!
Standby Week is finally here!
Standby Week is finally here!
After waiting and looking around for months, I finally forked out a hard_earn $93 bucks for a new pair of basketball shoes after wearing the older pair for 2 years.
Standby Week is finally here!
Standby Week is finally here!
Off to JB we shall go!
Life in unit have never been so stressed since last week.
It didn't end and have not end with 2 platoons kenna turn_out, 2 persons already kenna charged with SOL and extras melted out for the others.
I hope today duty will go on smoothly without accident.
And once again as it get nearer to the end of 2 duty weeks cycle, the gloom and fatigue began to set it heavier and heavier.
I am looking forward to next week for my rest.
Worst of Times.
Incidents and accidents happening 1 day after another across the 3 platoons cause the bosses to turn mad and do something drastic.
And the worst thing is, it is really all damn unlucky incidents which normally don't happen on any other day.
So now, once again the SAF common behavior begun to rear its head. Someone have to take the rap, fingers start to point around.
I think there might be a turn_out waiting for us tomorrow after the meeting.
It wouldn't kill anyway but it's kinda of surprising reaction from my PC when he heard news of turn out.
"Turn out, turn out lol. Gonna ORD soon anyway..."
So Funny Hor.
Anyway, people tend to say these: " forget this, forget that but can forget to eat anot?"
I say Can. Because I was so busy today that I forgot to eat my lunch after placing it on the table. It was only until I went in search of my water bottle 1 half hrs later that I realised I still have an unopen packet of lunch waiting for me on the table.
Infernal Affairs.

A hand phone got missing right under our own nose during my Saturday duty. It is indeed disappointing to know someone have got the guts and decency to do that and in turn causes damn lot of troubles for others.
It is an insider job.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Now I am among those who got into trouble too. Money is one small issue we can handle. But the explanation is the difficult part. How to explain when we have absolutely no idea who took the phone?
Damn. Damn. Damn.
That’s the problem. The thief got away scot-free while we had to pick the shit.
How come like this one?
Good Bye

The fall of the Galacticos, the end of an era.
So happy that you got crashed out of the Champion League.
Bye Bye.
Jeon Ji Hyun

If you don't know who is she, then as a guy you really deserve to be shot.
Just like any lady who aspire Brad Pitt to be their dream guy, she is really my ideal dream girl.
But no, I don't aspire to be tortured by her as what she did to her on screen boyfriend in My Sassy Girl and Windstruck.
Daisy...that's her next upcoming movie to be shown on April 27.

Remember to catch it. Directed by Andrew Mak from Infernal Affairs and Initial D lei...
Good Bye And Good Luck

I've been chasing after this show called "Good Luck" as mentioned earlier before. It required quite some effort because it is only shown once a week on weekend from 5-7pm which by then people are already going out already.
But still, it never fail to disappoint whenever I catch it and so the effort did paid off eventually.
Ladies should catch this show because it features Takuya Kimura. I think there is no need to explain as he is one of Asia most handsome guy.

Gentlemen should catch this show because it features Kou Shibasaki. This one is tricky. She possess those intense pair of eye which may not be everyone cup of tea. Sometimes she is cute, though other time it may also be seen as meanacing. She remind me of ex one true love though with that cold hard stare.

Of course pretty actor and actress do not make up a great serial show. The plot is also important.Rest assured that it is of good quality too.
Don't miss it.
Back to Old ground

Today, the time is right, the weather is fine and off I went for a jog around Chua Chu Kang Stadium.
Honestly, it has been ages ever since I went there after the change in work timing so I grabbed the opportunity today to test out my stamina after stoning around for some time after my ankle sprain.
I like running at Chua Chu Kang Stadium not because of the occasional worth looking moving scenery but because the facilities are quite well-maintained and the track is new and soft therefore it made jogging a whole lot easier and enjoyable.
Perhaps it can then explain why I feel I can run faster at CCK stadium but flopped so badly at Tuas Naval Base because the ground is so damn hard.
It's already March lol. 4 more months to mark the end of 2 long years....
History Came Alive
Today my backside got itchy and played basketball under the super hot morning sun from 9-12 noon and what I received from the session is very dark skin + sunburn on my shoulder and forehead.
This, after so much efforts to keep out from the sun as much as possible to "lighten" the colour of my skin.
A moment of madness to ruin a few month of effort.
But anyway, we had our National Education tour today. It was quite a boring event but nevertheless I managed to pick out some interesting facts about Singapore past, present and future.
Here's one for a start.
Do you know that there is actually a big Mosque right at the basement of UOB building?
I realised that people from the past especially those who braved thru the World War are actually very brave, passionate and full of sentiment.
Encounters

One day, I was taking the train to camp when something a little out of my usual routine occurred right in front of me. Right in front of my face in fact.
There was this JJC lady whom I came across a few times while boarding the train from CCK to Lakeside who literally walked into the cabin I was in and stood right in front of me when there is plenty of space around. Therefore, I have the most wonderful opportunity to admire her facial features from extremely close range as well as her very big big round round eyes. To be very frank, I really don’t understand what she mean because she kept fidgeting around with her hair, hand phone, mp3 player etc.
Haha. So funny, if she feels uncomfortable standing so near to a stranger, why does she do that in the first place when the train is not crowded at all?
I think I am going to say “Hi” to her to see what is her reaction if I see her again tomorrow morning.
At least if I manage to succeed, the journey to camp in future might not be that boring after all.
If you are looking a place to clear your thoughts, try Jurong East Entertainment Fuji Ice Palace. Watch those young kids attempt to execute graceful movement one after another without any fear at the tune of soothing music together with chilly cold temperature and you roughly get what I mean. It work for me though I don’t know whether it work for you too.
Next time I swear I am not gonna be the safety spec for range. I am going deaf from all the 2000+ bullets whizzing here and there. No way.
