For the first time in Asean, things move kinda of fast in this region.

YANGON - Security forces moved to crush protests in Myanmar's two biggest cities Friday, unleashing warning shots and baton charges, and cutting Internet access in the third day of a deadly crackdown.

If you still dunno what is happening...or why the year 1988 kept blaring from the television, take a look at this link: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/specialreports/index.htm

Go to the VIDEO found at the right hand side of the page. Click on it. Hey presto, now you get it.

My own personal opinion is that more people is gonna get killed. No one is able to help them, not because countries are not willing to but imagined if current junta is overthrown who is going to oversee the democracy and reconstruction effort in Mynamar? Sound like another IRAQ in making but ASEAN do not have a brother as big as America to have available resources and manpowers to do oversea such long term process. Western countries are also unlikely to help except enforce more economic sanctions because this is essentially a SE ASIA problem. China might be able to extend its influence but it will throw the limelight to back to ASEAN on its inadequacy to address its domestic problem.

So...this is exactly 'DIPLOMACY' in process..
