Then I tried to read more books written by him. eg. The Witch of Portobello but it was way too profound for me to understand what is he writing about. Even my sister who studied mass comm couldn't understand what is he trying to say inside the book so..it's no my fault that I don't understand la...Haha.
So when my sis introduced this book to me before she left for taiwan: Like a flowing river by the same author again, I cast an eye of suspicion. I don't know whether it might be a hit or miss but being a good brother, I listened to my sister recommendation and opened the book to read for a few pages.
I think this book is GOOD. It is basically made up of many short individual stories so it's quite easy to read. Inside every or rather most of the story lies something for us to understand and learn. It's as if every story lie tiny bits of gold nuggets for you to explore, search for them and come off richer spiritually after reading the story.
Since I'm rushing for time now, I shall not say so much. If you have time to read, go to the library to borrow this book. I'm sure you will not disappointed. Just like me. I shall post a short story tomorrow night perhaps..to let you on a glimpse of wisdom by Paulo Coelho
