Food can anyhow eat but Words cannot anyhow Say

There is this article in THE SUNDAY TIMES May 15 2005 titled “Whips up howls of protest”. It is about scholarship bond breaker and such. I don’t have much interest in this article until I saw a comment made by this female scholarship holder. She said: “The local boys are ok until they enter national service. Once they enter NS, they complain a lot. I didn’t know that guys could talk about the most minute things. Perhaps they’re not used to the physical training and regimentation.” Ms Chng Zhenzhi, 23 A*STAR scholarship holder.

After I read her comments, I could feel something riding up my throats. A sense of unjust. Nah Beh Chow Barney. I don’t wish to say she is ignorance. She obtained a scholarship so it mean she is certainly smart. I don’t wish to condemn her because she might mean those male scholarship bond breaker (those fcukers who got no integrity at all) although her comment certainly didn’t stated the word “male scholarship bond breaker”. I could have bombard her with hundred and thousands of reasons but because I do not belong to their class “ The elites of Singapore in future”…I decided not to. But if I were to meet her on the street, I would like to pop a comment back to her. Much as I don’t like regimentation (Who like it by the way? You tell me? ), much as I can’t wait to ORD and leave SAF as soon as possible, I can understand the simplest logic with my sToopiD and ImmAture mind that if not for the presence of SAF, the blood, sweat and sacrifices of the regulars, NSF and NSMEN, you can jolly well forget about enjoying the peace and prosperity currently available in Singapore. You can forget about obtaining your scholarship. You can forget about achieving your ambition and aspiration unless you migrate to other country. So you Fcuking stop using NATIONAL SERVICE in your comment because as a female you never had to serve and so you NEVER understand what we gone through. Period. The language is a little bit rough but hey remember? I do not belong to their elite class so pardon me. : - )

Disclaimer: The views above are all personal and rest assured no harm and malice is intended or target at Ms Chng. Just as she is free to express her own views, I’m sure I can also do so without getting into trouble.
