Yet another week has passed. In another 6 more days, I’ll be getting my 3rd sergeant rank. Yes… after a near 1 year of trainee life, I will be getting a 3rd sergeant, not “Officer” rank with the rest of my other 18 fellow course trainees. Sound damn pathetic but hey it might be better to arrive later than never. Agree?
The commander course make you mentally stress about the project and never ending project lectures conducted by CO. However, somehow in 1 way or another, I do enjoy a portion of it. Even though CO may not be a “good” lecturer or some might say a “weirdo”, there is no doubt that those lectures and training he make you undergo does make you improve whether as a soldier or personal life. He will make you think long,hard and deep, make you to express yourself. Essentially, he is forcing you to make you THINK. On the hindsight, I could see myself 1 year after this day, back to civilian life, attending classes and perhaps enjoying every moment of it provided the Z monster do not start attacking.
Perhaps I should not be saying this but I think some of us are not putting in any effort or do not have the ability to earn their rank.
My dear beloved SWO aka Polar Bear also had quite a number of talk cock session with the commanders. In front of the SSC trainees, he looks and sounds damn serious. It is very normal for a male to sneak a 2nd glance at a female if she is pretty/got character/big eyes/porcelain skin. So it is not surprising that I always look forward to eating lunch at the cookhouse because it’s the only time during my training in Changi where I can sneak a peek at the tall tall porcelain skin eye big big lady. Eating a delicious lunch is a bonus. Eating lunch with her around is bliss!
However, my fellow course mate comments I’m the type who changes heart easily. Apparently, we had our night out of Wednesday night. A bunch of us proceed to Bugis to eat beancurd and play pool. On our way back to the base, we chanced upon a lady with a lot of character on the MRT train. The even better news – she got off the same stop as us at Tanah Merah. We were seriously contemplating whether to ask for her number but but…unfortunately location wise it’s not suitable. We will have to deal with different culture. People living in West eat “Kan Tan” (potato) while people living in East eat “Ben” (Rice). You get what I mean? You see my point? Nevertheless sometimes…I felt it’s alright not to ask for more for expectation will turn out differently from what you initially experience.
I don’t believe I’m not the type who changes heart easily. If that’s the case whatever that happen a year ago should be erased from my dastardly complex mind long time ago. To be frank with myself, I have nothing to hide anyway. I like One True Love last time and I still like One True Love now though I’m not sure if I like One True Love in future. My sister bought me a blue Abercombie and Fitch T-shirt during her trip to Malaysia. It is real stuff, not imitation and it’s fit me just nice. The question is, how come a soldier working in an office environment can “tio” this type of bacteria. Damn fcuking suay * 100%. Doctor’s diagnose he could only walk again after 2 months. Good News: I got a OFF this Friday because I did duty on Vesak Day so it mean I got a super duper long weekend starting on Thursday night.

Super Bad News: The day after the super duper long weekend which is a MONDAY, I will be reporting back to Changi Naval Base for a 3 weeks Commander Course. After completing the meaningless/meaningful Commander Course, I will be able to get my long awaited 3rd sergeant rank on my uniform sleeve. But as a trade-off, I will have to undergo same old regimentation and “WAYANGING” as well as booking out on Friday, hopefully and booking in on Sunday for 2 consecutive weeks.
Weird News: Every time I close my eyes to sleep, I will get images/scenario of One True Love floating inside my head. What the fcuk is happening? Am I going to get a lead role in the popular serial show “Desperate NSF”? I have absolutely no idea why am I going crazy/gaga over her again. Strange and unexplainable. I need more sleep. Ciao!

I went and watch Madagascar today at West Mall together with Yuehong and Ruihang. Alex the LION is such a show-off but he showed great discipline and loyalty to his friend the ZEBRA (that’s what the parent told the child sitting beside me) not to eat him when he is super duper starving and hungry. HIPPO was the most sensible among the four buddies. GIRAFFE worries about unnecessary. The 4 penguins could very well be the next Fantastic Four! The movie was amusing with its wild and wacky character. The plot is very simple and thin but in a way it enables the children to grasp the story concept. There were a lot of young kids and young adults in the theatre about in the theatre. I did not scream but I am among the young adults to laugh heartily at the action of those animals.
