One for Myself, One for You

If you have noticed why I am always so fierce recently, why I tend to smile less often, why I am so fired up, why I am looking for a punching bag, why am I doing this, why I wrote so many “grumbling” posts in my blog…I let you know why!

Somethings are omitted due to security issues of course!

Current Situation:

Training for platoon is set from **** before mounting duty at ****

Current concern:

For the mounting platoon

1) Concerns on whether time will be wasted on waiting to mount duty after training are over.

2) Concerns on whether we will be tired to continue doing duty after training.

4) Concerns on whether what activities is plan for lessons after we complete 1 training cycle. Are we going to go through the same stuff again after finishing the cycle or is there something else plan for us.

5) For platoon mounting on Sunday, the number of hours spends on doing duties can last up to **** What can be done to compensate us for the excess **** hours of duty when we have to book in at *** for the next duty day?

6) The projected timing for training is from ****. Since the training is supposed to be a “refresher” course, it also means we already know our stuffs before attending the lessons. Is there really a necessary to have **** hours of lessons before we mount duty?

For the dismounting platoon

1) Those that are doing graveyard shift from **** and**** are unlikely to have any rest after the morning peak. In fact, all of us are pretty exhausted after completing the morning peak duties. The only guys getting at least **** hours of uninterrupted sleep are the ones doing duty from **** but they are doing more “difficult” duty post in the morning for that benefit.

Current Situation:

NSmen strength failed to reach the projected targeted number repeatly.

Current concern:

1) Workload increased on each individual as we help to cover NSmen duty as well as performing ours at the same time.

2) **** The men are unhappy about how they are manipulated to cover for others inability to carry out their respective task well. Each time any problems surface, our head is always on the chopping board first before anybody else.

3) We hope we will be consulted in future for any decision made before it is implemented. After all we are the ones on the ground doing the work and we are able to foresee any problems and make constructive suggestions better than anyone else.

4) We hope to see more welfare and benefits available in return for our excess effort put in to cover for the **** instead of being squeezed dried just because we are always “expandable”. Please, we are humans, not robots and we do need a rest too.

And please Fellow Comrades, for the sake of ourselves, don't give up the struggle without putting in a good fight.
