Goodbye 2005
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
In a matter of few hours, 2005 will be gone forever and 2006 will set upon us.
During 2005, I made 3 resolutions.
1) Cut down on my swearing
2) Be willing to give out love unconditionally
3) I seriously forgot what my 3rd resolution is.
I failed miserably in the 1st one. No excuse for that. I think I will still be doing the same for 2006 because I foresee something big is brewing up. When the innocence is gone, it’s gone forever. Very bad. This is really very bad.
I didn’t set out to achieve my 2nd resolution. I guessed 2005 is mostly all about me and myself.
I wondered if friendship can be counted as one for I did make an effort in maintaining friendship which I think that really counts. And I am still the main organizer for the supper club activities we frequent had. (Hello, can I pass the baton to someone else already?)
I looked back at the past entries of my blog and saw the high and low of my life in 2005. That’s what the blog is great about. It can double up as a diary too…provided you keep a constant update on it.
I would like to thank SWO Balvinder Singh. A great leader that deserve our enormous respect. I am thankful for the opportunity to train under him. I could have never dreamt of running my SOC of 8 mins 50 sec timing if not for his 3 weeks of SOC hell training… day in and out.
I would like to thank the Sea Soldier Course 5 fellow trainees for the wonderful time we had in Changi. Who could have forgot the “shag until you cannot think” sea expedition from Changi to
I would like to thank my former physiotherapist @ Selerang Camp for helping me to recover from my knee injury.
I would like to thank Jiayuan, Eric and Marcus for their vehicle support for the numerous late night outing. Without them, the supper club will not be able to hold till today. And of course, not forgetting the members of Class 24 for making time and effort to attend the supper outing.
I would like to thank Renjie, Tok Cock Hui and platoon 1 for the wacky, funny, hilarious moments we shared together in TDS.
I would like to thank Class 4E1 for including me in their contacts. Thank you for attending my birthday dinner. Special thanks to Yuehong my “gay buddy” hehe
2005 also contained a lot of whining about tiredness, lack of energy, diminishing social circle, monotonous duty circle, incapable fuck up unit, Exercise Praxis and last but not least former One True Love.
I think at least 65% of my blog mention directly/indirectly about former One True Love. It took me a long 1 and 1/2 years to get over her. How did I manage that I have no idea.It just suddenly came out the blue only until recently and yup, I’m just glad that everything can be laid to a rest finally.
Here are my resolutions for 2006.
1) Less swearing for me.
2) Complete my NYAA Gold report.
3) Achieve an IPPT gold. (Start Training Now!)
4) Read up on my poly notes to prepare for University.
5) Organize an oversea trip to
6) Participate in next year Standard Chartered Marathon.
Happy New Year Everyone. Let bygones be bygones and get ready to start afresh for a new 2006. God Bless and I Love ALL of YOU! Hehe
