Nowadays I will wake up in the morning and switched on TV, tuned in to channel 5 and catch the Beijing Olympics swimming meet.

As I kept watching, I wished that I could have been there at the Water Cube to soak up the atmosphere, cheer for the swimmers and watch them receive their medals.

And...

to catch him catch up in his quest for 8 gold medals in Beijing and break Mark Spitz record of 7.

So far so good. He just won his 3rd gold medal this morning. He is quite terrifying actually. During the heat he doesn't try his best effort. Therefore on TV you can actually see him testing out his opponents before putting in his effort during the last lap, catch up with the leader before winning the first position.

On the real final event, no one can catch up with him. There is always this green line superimposed on TV to indicate the world record and whether the swimmer can break it so as always Micheal Phelps always lead the green lead by at least 1/2 a body length.

I think I must get ticket to see the swimming meets when Singapore host the youth olypmpic in 2010.

Go Phelps Go!
