You're Beautiful

Today Darren, Kb and me went down town and “see see look look” to keep ourselves abreast with latest happenings/fashions/gadgets that are currently gripping Singapore.

There were not many changes except some of the shop which I thought were operating fine has closed down and were replaced by others. So that can roughly tell you how long I have been keeping myself in the western part of the island.

We had initially thought of watching the movie “Domino” but scrapped the plan in the end. Perhaps $9.50 for a movie during the weekend is a little too much when you can exchange the money for a reasonable good meal.

And so we went “Pasta Mania” at Cineleisure for our “good meal”. I’m not sure whether “Pasta Mania” can be qualified as a good meal but we were at our wits end. (Not to worry, this time nothing happened over there. No Spiderman, no Batman no Superman attempting to fly down the building) However a minor incident indeed take place when the waiter was clearing our plates after we finished the pasta.

Apparently, both the waiter mis-communicates with one another and let go of the plate simultaneously. As I watched it land on the floor with a loud bang and the remains on the plate splashes towards the direction of the lady sitting behind Darren as well as Kb, I silently uttered a curse on myself.

Because you see, the unfinished remains on the plate were mine. It remains a question whether it’s worth the trouble because we receive a complimentary chocolate mousse worth $2.50 from the management as a method of apology. (Like that considered lucky anot? But don’t say I didn’t warn you. The chocolate mousse tasted really terrible.)

We also saw quite a number of pretty faces while strolling around the town. Darren gave us some advices which I’m not sure whether if it’s workable. Therefore to all ladies who happen to chance upon this blog, I post this question to you.

According to Darren, if you are going to attempt to obtain the number of the lady you fancy, try this pick up lines from the song “You’re Beautiful” by James Blunt.

“My life is brilliant. My love is pure.”

Seriously, I don’t ever think this cheesy pick-up line will boost your chances to obtain the number of the girl you fancy at all loh. What do you think?
