Imprints In Our Life

Sometimes, it makes me wonder whether our life is laid out in such a way that it consist of a huge piece of window with many many imprints on it. Some may be large, while others are just tiny speck of dust. There is no doubt that whoever crosses our life at any point of time, no matter how insignificant, will leave us with an impression of him/her. For those who may contributed greatly to your happiness, or those who may have hurt you greatly for you to hate them deep to the core, similarly, their imprint on the mirror will hence be larger too. Unfortunately, for all the powerful stain cleaners available in the whole wild world, there is not one that is strong enough to erase your memories, that is unless you gone bonkers and forgot everything. The imprints make out who you are, for everyone goes thru different experiences in life. No two people are alike in this world, just like there is only one world and one golden sun.

I typed the above because I recently re-read “5 persons you meet in Heaven” and it left me a very deep impression yet again regarding the type of people you came across in your life. Ideas begun churning out, thicker and thicker until it form the above paragraph.

Back at my workplace, I got the opportunity to mix around with all types of NSmen, some of which are very successful outside, some of which are struggling to keep afloat. Sometimes when they talk about their work or their families, we being the youngest among the group would just often keep quiet and just open our ear wide and listen. When we listen, it doesn’t not necessary mean we are required to believe whatever story they say. Sooner or later, our mind will be able to filter out which is pure fantasy or which path is worth emulating. Indirectly, it also give us a rough idea what is the current economy like, what can be expected of you when you reach a certain age, what is your limitations after you pass a certain stage in your life. We can read the newspaper for all we want but nothing beats face-to-face conversation. And therefore, I’m glad I have gain something useful in my course of monotonous work and am looking forward in future to apply and enrich my life with those late nights “Life” lessons spent around talking with them.

I want to be a successful person in life. And though I know my path is not going to be easy and smooth sailing( it’s never is and I think it never will), I hope I’ll be able to achieve it within the best of my ability.
