I'm not sure if I told you but actually I'm very afraid of ageing. I am very afraid of the day when I reach 50-60 when all my skin will start sagging, my face full of wrinkles, my head full of white hairs, my mobility reduce to walking. If it is possible I would like to stay young forever but of course this is not possible as the world have only got this amt of resources and if people don't grow old and die, the world will be overwhelmed with people. Resources will be scare and people will start fighting and perhaps world war 3 will began.
Yesterday I watched 79th Oscar LIVE on TV because I'm not working and this lady emcee introduced to this segment where they commerated those actors, actress, directors, scriptwriters, music score writers who passed away during the period from the last 78th oscar to the 79th oscar.
Looking at the images suddenly invoked me to the thoughts above of immortality because looking thru the screen, I understood that a person may die but his/her legacy will still live on the screen forever. Perhaps that's why movies and TV is much power medium because once you are captured on the film, you are immortalized and you can live forever as well. But of course you have to best pray that either you are a pretty bombshell or if not you belong to those with talent.
And I also understand why Hollywood and the Western will always be leap and bounds in front of Asia because the things they do, the talents they have and the technology they used is way way far too advanced for Asia to catch up with. Looking at Martin Scorsese winning his 1st best director award, presented by the 3 great directors Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Ford Francis Coppala...how to fight like that? Haha..
There was a time I remembered when I was at the age between 16-17 and Westlife was super hot during that period of time. But I like some of their hits such as 'More than Words', Uptown girls, 'I Lay My Love On You' and 'My Love' . I particularly like 'My Love' because the music video actually showed WestLife standing on the cliff facing the wild ocean isolated from the rest of the civilisation. And I wonder how, I wonder why, I wonder how did they find such wonderful heaven on earth and did they took a helicopter just to get there?
And if you want a piece of heaven on earth, take a look at the video. It's pretty hard to miss it, unless you are so smitten with westlife or you hate them to the core that you have no wish to view the video.
Not a bad show. Once again Andy Lau has prove his mettle on his acting skill even though Daniel Wu is the main character in the show. But I can't understand how did the director manage to film the show with the poppy field as background and the Golden Triangle area unless it is all fake. If it is real, where did they got permission from the drug lords to film it? But anyway,the views were quite awesome

yesterday I spent the day, going back to NTU to do some admin stuffs meet up with some old frens went vivo city walk ard walk ard vivo city another time visited marche and ate rosti and drink rootbeer visited the pet shop took the monorail from vivo to sentosa read my storybook @ siloso beach under the evening sun buried my feet under the soft sands walk from silosa beach all the way to palawan when the sky turn from dusk to darkness went to selegie to eat suki sushi because all the eatery all full for too obvious reason went to rocher beancurd to eat beancurd and soya bean as the name suggested.
in short, it was not a bad day. But don't get the wrong idea. I was actually accompanying someone to make her feel a little bit better at her request.
And for the first time I understood the term "platonic relationship" actually hold true. Hahaha.
nowadays working at Starhub has into a montonous schedule because I learned what I'm supposed to learn and basically even though I like to do more I'm limited by my job scope. The people there are great, money wise not bad but learning experience = zero . Perhaps I might look for another job after the 2 months contract expire to leave for greener pasture.
Chinese New year is coming soon. Can't wait to see my cute niece again though not very sure she remember me anymore.
this afternoon I have lunch at 1 of the food court near my workplace. I ordered a plate of chicken rice + 1 egg total cost = $3
while waiting for the plate of rice to be serve, I saw auntie carefully scooping the peanuts into the bowl before filling it up with the soup. wah... this one is not ordinary watery soup lei...this is peanut soup, got taste one.
So i gave her a $10 expecting to get $7 back in return. I grab the change, proceed over to 1 side to take my utensils.
Then I take a look at the change. Something funny, something strange becoz it feel like I have 4 $2 note and 1 $1 coin. Counted again and confirm guarantee chop I got $9 change in return.
Wah cheap bargain lei $3 plate of chicken rice for $1 only..Then dilemna struck. Should I inform auntie or go and reward myself with a fruit juice which I will not buy normally.
In the end I informed the auntie and gave her back the extra $2. Auntie looked at me, didn't say anything and continued serving the next customer.
At this point of time, do you think I'm stupid to return the money ?I don't know the answer but somehow thinking back it must be the image of auntie scooping peanuts into the bowl of soup that made me return her hard earn money ..even though it's just a miserly $2 note.
All I know is that the peanut soup does taste good indeed, provided she didn't add any msg inside la. Haha
Sometimes I stay in the air-con environment for up to 8 hours a day so therefore I feel it is important to go runnig or play basketball to sweat out all the toxic in my body and get my immune system running to counter any germs and bacteria.
been playing basketball and running these few days. and the feeling is good thou the muscles ached due to not enough stretching.
I like staying at home most of the time when I'm off because I don't have anyone to ask to go watch movie with, I don't have anyone to go eat dinner with, I don't have anything to shop for, I like staying at home to take a once in a blue moon afternoon nap.
But staying at home is such a headache because my momma always nag. She nag at me why I cannot learn from my cousin. She nag at me why I don't want to go clean the windows. She nag at me why I cannot help her with my housework. In fact she basically nag at me for the sake of nagging. Once my sister wondered to me why in our mother eyes we are always worse than our cousin and I took a moment to think about it. Basically we are Ok so it is decide that it is really our mother that is so hard to please. I wished things can improve. I tried putting in effort but sometimes we have this clash of ideas. She prefer slow and steady, simple and safe lifestyle. But try asking that from someone who is still young, ready to go and see the world to hold back and enjoy the kampung lifestyle..slow and steady, simple and safe and you get what I mean? The world she lived in 20 years back and the world I am going to face 10 years later is definitely going to be different with globalisation and such but she don't understand when I told her she will be dead meat if she is in her 30 right now and blamed me for looking down on her generation.
Therefore sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or cry, to rebut back or keep silent, to stay at home or go out instead to escape from her nagging. I understand my parents are going on in years and I also want to do my part to take care of them but when you are often chatised for every little thing you do, the relationship take a step back and sometimes you cannot blame the children from distancing away because I am so sick and tired of "this one cannot that one cannot"
Therefore maybe it is a good idea to engage myself in work more often or go back earn the OT. I am also looking to take part in some cooking courses at the CC near my house. Be it for personal interest or to get to know more people, it is definitely better than staying at home kena nag like there is no tomorrow.
