but the hair dresser was late and Des have not yet reach the saloon.
Upon his advice, I wandered around the area..well not exactly wandering around because I used to live in that area which is called Jurong West.
And even though I go over there once in a blue moon to get my hair cut, I don't exactly wandered around because the route to the nearest transport is different and it will not pass by the area. Today with additional time on my hand, I went back to 'visit' my childhood place.
My old block '420' where I lived from aged 4yrs to 10yrs old.
The current playground. When I was young, it used to be a concrete castle with sand and 2 swings. I didnt often get the chance to play the swing because mother forbade me to go down to play frequently.But I do remember swinging to the highest and having lots of fun on the swing thou.
They knocked down the old badminton court and added a shelter to it. I have my taekwondo classes on the old badminton court and I remember during a sparing session things got so heated up that I cut my lips and tasted blood in my mouth.I was then only at most 10 years old.
This picture show the new exterior of the classroom where I have my drawing lesson from K1 to Pri 2 or 3. I was a pretty good painter. Won quite a number of prizes from various competitions but in the end gave up drawing altogether when I went secondary school. And no, I did not paint the fat boy yawning on the patch of grass.
This is the pavement where I first learn how to ride a bicycle. Fell down a couple of times but upon the encouragement of my play mates, I managed to rode from 1 end to the other end of the pavement without shedding any blood.
The mama shop is still around after so many years! Used to get the chewing gum fix when it was still legal then from the shop.
After all the visit, I managed to get my hair cut. It was the usual instruction until the hairdresser decided to recommend me a new hairstyle. I think it is called 'mallet' or sound something like that but the word-'low maintainance' sound like music to my ears so I decided what the heck and went for it.
This is my new hairstyle. Really very short in the front and low maintainance but it's a little too beng for my liking but hey, I believed no one have ever seen this new look of me before! Haha.What done cannot be undone and I will use the next few days to get use to my new hairstyle.
