Are you seeing Double?

Yesterday I went to see my base MO for my illness.
He said I didn't "
kena" any H5N1 or the recent "
Piggy" virus.
What I really "
tio" was actually Viral Infection.
Now I have absolutely no idea what the fcuk is viral infection and how to treat the illness.
However, he gave me some painkillers which I dumped them away, some paracetamol tablets which I kept, some lozenges for me to suck for my sore throat and recommend more rest for me.
I suspected I might have come into some form of contact with the black dog which we captured 2 weeks ago and the germs/viral got transmitted into my body.
So much so for helping the dog clean the cage. Next time I will not be so nice anymore.
Sometimes I really wish there are more than 24 hours a day for me to do all I want or maybe I can spilt myself into many different half to attend the many different interesting events.
I had 3 options today.
- Play basketball with my basketball mates
- Attend Cynthia Birthday Function at Cineleisure
- Attend Kailing's NTU Hall Bash/Paegant(if I'm not mistaken) at Zouk
While I really would like to play basketball with my basketball mates, it has been some time since I last met up with my poly mates and thus Cynthia's Birthday celebration provide me a good opportunity to meet up with them to find out how they are currently doing.
Well, I guess you might already know which event am I going today... don't you?
Hmm....
Suck it up like a Man. Alex!
The Cows have not reach home yet.
Renjie is currently an “ORD personnel” because as what the name suggest; he is going to ORD soon.
And since Renjie is now on ORD mood, he decided he got too much time to spare and seem bent on to embark on a journey to unearth the real identity of One True Love
And unfortunately, as I said before; “Until the cows decided to come home”, I figured he is going to have a difficult time to complete this particular mission.
Sometimes, when something is make known to everyone, it will lose the mysterious aura which attracted everyone to it in the first place.
Let’s leave things as it is so that it can retain its charm…shall we?
I think me, One True Love (If she ever visited this site, which I doubt so because she hates reading long English passage; the exact opposite of me who hates long Chinese passage as well) as well as all related parties involved will greatly appreciate your kind thoughts.
And beside I certainly have a bone to pick with you. You said I am an emotionless robot never mind... You actually requested SY not to introduce Anne Suzuki look-alike wannabe! Nah Beh Chao Barney! I see you are tired of living huh. But whatever the case, I’m sure you watched the movie “Artificial Intelligence”. So what if I’m really a robot? They too have got wonderful emotion one K.
Ps: As I said before, I hope to reduce the numbers of post containing “One True Love” appearing in this blog but the reverse is actually happening. But on hindsight, I figured I have gotten past the stage so it doesn’t really matter as much as I thought in the first place.
Last and First Hour...

Last night during our QRF (Quick Reaction Force)
- Ran approximately 2KM round half of the base with my SBO, Helmet and rifle with my buddy Mr. Fighting Fish
- Did 2 QRF because the first one was lousy
- Executed FIBUA at our building to flush out the suspect but miss him because he was hiding behind the door.
- Covered for Tok Cock while he climbed up the ladder to inspect the water tank but saw him tumbling down with his feet caught between the ladders.
- Climbed up and down the stairs because someone got held hostage.
- Witness first hand about hostage-taking scenario
- Mr. Fighting Fish was unfortunately the "attacker turned hostage" because he got duped.
- Prone on the earth because I couldn’t find sufficient cover.
- Became real aggressive and shouted real loud because I got tired & frustrated running after the suspect.
- Plt Sgt said he almost couldn’t recognize me and my behavior during the exercise.
- Got my whole uniform, underpants, and socks drenched with sweat.
- Listened to PC Sir remarked this is the best QRF performance he ever seen from us.
- Earn a free breakfast offered by PC Sir for the entire cast
- Spent the entire night sleepless and doing duty with wet underpants. Tamade!
This Morning during our Morning Peak Duty
- Combined power with buddy Mr. Fighting Fish to jam vehicles entering the base
- Catch, send or book those base residents who deserved to be book for trying to test the system.
- Realized we might be the most unpopular figure in Tuas Naval Base for many days to come.
Well, someone has to be the Charlie Brown, the villain, the unpopular figure and unfortunately it’s has to be us, Sea Soldier in green uniform to make sure they behave themselves and altered to all rules and regulation inside the base.
Last word: Remember not to ever treat us as sick cat just because we seldom bite.
Save me from all the germs!

KNNBCCB, I seem to be prone of getting all weird type of germs lately and it make my throat very dry, sore and add to that an occasional bout of fever.
Scully I kena the bird flu how? I swear I didn't even go touch any animals as well as any ladies lately. (
Som pa, no joke)
I think I shall go see a doctor one of these day to find out exactly what is wrong. But
not to worry not to worry, I am still your ever fun loving Alex whose sense of wicked humour is still intact.
remember the phrase "身体好,你比谁都强"?
我会比你强!
To all Queries out there...

To Renjie & Eugene: Yes, I am an arsehole. I like being an arsehole because I know I can’t be a hero all the time. You see what happen to Spiderman? He wants to be hero in the end what happen? His “Mary Jane” is going to die in Spiderman 3! You see in movie where all the baddies have all the fun while the good hero always suffered for long period of time before they finally get that stab of glory they deserved near the end of the show? Noooo, I don’t like…
On a serious note: I pasted “Pink Sticker” on One True Love face (not because she is ugly, in fact I think she look gorgeous in the past but unfortunately not now because she look very pale and probably need some blood transfusion to make her face pink again. Sorry my blood and her blood not suitable.) but because that was all in the past and we must respect others privacy. What would she think if she saw her face posing beside with her “most hated eternal enemy”. I bet you a thousand bucks she is going to bite my head off, throw my carcass into the ravine and let me die without a body in my coffin. (Okiee, I guess she is not that cruel anyway)
To Kaibin: Ahhh…how long have we known each other already? 4 years already! Time flies and I guessed even after we ORD we are going to stick around at NTU together with Jiayuan and Desmond. It is very satisfying to know that even though I didn’t achieved anything really “spectacular” in Life so far, at least I met such great bunch of friends and buddies during my teenage years.
To Yuehong: What do I want for my birthday? I have not informed you when and where the place I shall be treating all of you for my birthday treat and you already ask what I want. Very good. Very motivated. Take very good initiative Champion! Keep it up.
Since requested by Yuehong, I shall list out the items I want for my birthday.
1) Mitsubishi Evo 8 will be a nice starter. I figured if you apply for a bank loan of 1 million, there are likely or confirmed guaranteed chop still got $$ left after paying the COE, road taxes, insurance for you to buy a “LAU POK” car for yourself so we can drive to school together in future.

2) 7 different colors of Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt with different colors for each horse. Ahhh…. Don’t think I stupid stupid don’t know what are you thinking now..You want to buy the "Giordano" shirt and paste sticker on them and try to pass them as RL Polo? Worst still you go buy the even cheaper “Hangten” one I tell you I really PENG on the floor hor.

Can't find multi color Polo T so anyhow settle for this one for show only.
3) How about a travel voucher which can allow me to travel to Bali, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan with transports, accommodations, shopping and entertainments all fully paid up for?
4) Can you find someone who resemble Ryoko Hirosue, Zhu Ying, Anne Suzuki or maybe even Jun Ji-hyun to me. I swear I will make use of my chances and make her mine forever. Then I will tell her every morning how pretty she looks the moment she wake up and say: “You smell great! I Love You but can you fix breakfast for me?”

5) I guessed my wardrobe really does need some upgrading and new entry. How about some Mickey Mouse shirt (I heard someone laughing behind…WHO?) or Abercombie & Fitch T-shirt? But then again…due to my skinny frame, it’s better not to buy any clothes because sometimes those clothes which I condemned in my wardrobe normally don’t ever see the light of the day again.
6) If you really wish to buy me the “Fossil” watch, please buy the exact model nothing more, nothing less.If you can't manage to find it, then better don't waste $$ and buy others. It is good to be straightforward because I’m very very particular about the watches I wear because even a nice watch can look ugly on my skinny hand. (To be on a safe side, take me with you along so I can choose the more expensive model k?)

The exact model, rememberrr...
7) CK One perfumes for Guys, not Girls may be another better option if you think I deserved something more than a watch. At most we share share each person half a bottle LoL.

8) In return for all of the above, I will treat you a meal of Zi Char/ Zhu Chao set for 6 person when actually I invited 15 people to come. But not to worry not to worry, I will order 20 bowls of rice so everyone will fill their stomach to the brim before they set foot home. Promised.
Ps: I am such lame shit that I feel sorry for all of you to read my Broken/ Chui English. I will write/type better English when times call for it.
Hi...Mr Zhou Gong ZZZZ

I actually thought of something to post but I'm currently not in the mood right now because I'm tired and the cool weather is so conducive to hide under the blanket and sleep away in peace.
Perhaps I will be able to jolt down and post it later at night.
SISPEC (School Of Infantry Specialist) 041004 - 101204
School of Infantry Specialist here we come,
Soldiers of every creed and race.
Soldiers of Specialist we will become;
Leaders of six men we set the pace!
SISPEC warrior we are the warrior
SISPEC warrior with pride we will lead.
Fearlessly we lead with pride,
Training hard full of might.
Train to lead by day and night
We will strive for greater heights!

After my BMT phase, I got posted to SISPEC Delta Company, the most welfare company in SISPEC. To be honest, it is really due to the OC style of managing the company. We like to do things fast, cut all the red tape but not at the expense of safety. We were among the earliest company to book out. As what the OC always like to say:” We are one big happy family.” It is such a pity I got posted out to other units after my BSLC for if given a choice, Delta would be the best place to stay.
SISPEC training was very tough but manageable; given the thinking is right. From the moment you wake up and opened your eyes (0450am in the morning) till the time you sleep, you are always busy with stuffs. Of 24 hours a day, you must really make very good use of the 7 hours allocated for us to sleep. It is not surprising to book out at Saturday afternoon 1700pm and report back to camp on Sunday 2000pm. Halfway throughout the course, out of 10 people, 4 have already Out Of Course due to 1 reason or others. For the latter part of the course, my section was disbanded and we joined other sections for training because our numbers were too small. I was almost out of course too. I hurt my knee during the 4th week of the course and for the remaining time, I practically struggled to keep pace with the training. There were times when I thought other people suffer, I also suffered but why must I suffer twice they suffered with my knee condition? My knee hurts like hell during long hours of Topology exercises. There were times when I had to grab the railing of the stairs to lift my body up because my knee condition was so bad that they hurt like hell when they bent. I remembered I ran/limped the whole 7KM endurance run and the rest of the platoon were so far ahead of me, leaving me behind alone to complete the run but I didn’t give up. In fact, giving up and quitting wasn’t an option for me because I don’t wish to go through the course and waste my time again. It was pure willpower that kept me going on.
Our PC was the most “Garang” among the 4 platoon. He expects a lot from us but most often we always fail to meet his expectation. When he is humorous, he likes to use funny “Hokkien” anecdotes to crack jokes. When he is angry, his face will turn instantly black with both his eyebrows meeting each other. Outfield exercise was tough. Most often there is no time to sleep. It got worst when it rain. I remembered during 1 exercise it rained from 2000pm to the next morning 0900am. The tents were leaking and all of us were soaked wet. The wetness + the chilling temperature forced people to opt for desperate measures. I asked my fellow platoon mates for a cigarette and puff away just to feel “something warm rising up my body” (Sound erotic rite? Haha) There was another outfield exercise when we were required to dig fire trench (Where in fact most of us commented we were actually digging our own grave). We dug from evening 1700 to next morning 0630. Luckily, this time it did not rain or else you can imagine the soil transforming into mud which would have made our job one hell of a trouble.
The final test was the 32KM route march. Due to my knee condition, I was very worried if whether if it can withstand the long hours of walk. However, I was inspired by my OC again when he said “You don’t walk the route march for anybody else, you complete the road route because of PRIDE.” It was only during that time I understand the importance of personal pride. You have to show people you have the backbone, you have the ability, you will not bow head down to anyone and lastly you must be the Eh Gan (Can Do), not the Buay Gan (No Can Do). This lesson still applies to me till today. I tried to be positive in whatever things I do. Instead of telling yourself the journey ahead is difficult, I convinced myself that it can be definitely achieved with the “CAN DO” spirits in mind.
The route march was tiring. We walked from 1900pm to 0500am in the morning. But nevertheless, it was very satisfying to know I did not fall out. It was very satisfying to tell myself I completed the route march given my knee condition during that time. With that, my days in SISPEC officially end on the 101204 which is such a coincidence because it also belong to One True Love birthday as well as another person but I can’t remembered the hell who the fcuk is that person.

Didn't Bluff you right. It really stated there as 101204 but then again, It was only pure coincidence which don't mean anything at all.
SISPEC training may be tough, but it trains you to take hardship very well as well as improving you mental strength to make you tougher and stronger. From a “Blur Blur” recruit straight out of BMT, it can definitely transform you into a true soldier in a matter of 12 weeks of training.
SISPEC “ With Pride We Lead!”

PS: With that, I concluded the end of my SISPEC training days. Still got SSC days to go!
APLHA PLATOON 3 "TOUGH TIMES DON't LAST, TOUGH MAN DO"
BMTC 220704 – 240904
In the early morning run,
With a fieldpack by my side
With a AK in my heart,
And my body full of sweat.
I’m a long long way from home.
And I miss my lover so.
In the early morning run,
When the cold wind blows.
I know, I know
You have to go.
So hurry back home,
I missed you so.
APLHA PLATOON 3 "TOUGH TIMES DON't LAST, TOUGH MAN DO"
I was enlisted into BMTC ALPHA COMPANY on the 220704. I am considered a last minute batch because I volunteered to do so that I can ORD earlier. (Earlier go in, Earlier come out mah). Because there was 1 batch that came into ALPHA earlier than us (the PTP batch, while we are the enhanced one because we passed the NAPFA test), we were only left to ourselves to settle the logistics and administrative stuff as soon as possible. Our section was the most united because we had no choice, if you tried to play punk the whole section will suffer along with you. I did have a tough time converting from civilian life to military life. It was not the physical activities that I couldn’t take it. It was the lifestyle and the unfinished business that I carried from the civilian lifestyle along with me to the military. My bed was situated beside the window and to be honest, I’ve never had a good night sleep during my time at BMTC. I would often wake up at 2am, 3 am in the morning and then struggled to sleep again before we wake up at 0500am again for breakfast.
Nevertheless, I met up with my 3 month JC buddy, David as well as made a new-found mate Jianyuan. Together, we encouraged and push each other on. We were there to look out for 1 another as well as cover each other ass. All of us hoped to get selected for the Officer Cadet Course but perhaps we were the enhanced batch which came in later, all the slots were allocated for those PTP batch except for 1. Jianyuan and me got posted into SISPEC after our BMT while David got posted to Artillery. And sad to say, we didn’t really meet up since our days after BMT.
ALPHA PLATOON 3 SECTION 4
The most memorable moment during my BMT was during the Parent Visiting Day. My parent bought me a Japanese bento set. My sister made me a mini poster consisting photos of One True Love, my poly friends as well as our sibling photos which I proudly displayed inside my cupboard. (There were always questions asked who are the ladies inside the photo which my standard reply was: go fcuk your own asses! HaHa). It was during that day which I felt I can make all the mistakes in the world and get away from it without fearing whether I will get punished or confined.

The mini poster which my sister made for me so that I will not "go mad thinking about One True Love" (that's her theory) all the time. Haha
The most "Xia Suay" moment is BMT when I "Peng San" (Faint) during my BMT graduating parade. KNNBCCB; rehearsal 4-5 times under the fcuking hot sun and the wet weather never ever did I Peng once but come the actual parade weather good good windy windy I Peng. Thinking back, it was actually quite hilarious. The parents were so damn anxious whether the one who faint is their son and came running to the side of the stadium shouting their son name. What did my parent do? They saw one soldier from Alpha Peng, immediately knew it was me, walked calmly to the side and took a look at me. I was actually conscious by the time I was stretcher inside so I told them I was fine. Fortunately, my PC allowed me to rejoin the parade and therefore I had the opportunity to be like the others hundreds of recruits to toss my jockey cap high up in the sky and celebrate our passing out from BMTC.

Those were the days: David, Jian Yuan, Alex
PS: Not much time to complete the SISPEC and the SSC period so I shall post the rest at other days. With that, I conclude the end of presentation about my BMT days.

Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough

I just felt it was one my favourite songs that I could relate too...nice and smoothing. It does make you want to lie down and sleep away in peace.
"Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough"
I don’t wanna lose you,
I don’t wanna use you
Just to have somebody by my side
And I don’t wanna hate you
I don’t wanna take you
But I don’t wanna be the one to cry
That don’t really matter to anyone, anymore
But like a fool I keep losing my place
And I keep seeing you walk through that door
But there’s a danger in loving somebody too much
And it’s sad when you know it’s your heart you can’t trust
There’s a reason why people don’t stay where they are
Baby sometimes love just ain’t enough
Now I could never change you
I don’t wanna blame you
Baby you don’t have to take the fall
Yes I may have hurt you
But I did not desert you
Maybe I just wanna have it all
It makes a sound like thunder
It makes me feel like rain
And like a fool who will never see the truth
I keep thinking something’s gonna change
But there’s a danger in loving somebody too much
And it’s sad when you know it’s your heart you can’t trust
There’s a reason why people don’t stay where they are
Baby sometimes love just ain’t enough
And there’s no way home
When it’s late at night and you’re all alone
Are there things that you wanted to say
Do you feel me beside you in your bed
There beside you where I used to lay
And there’s a danger in loving somebody too much
And it’s sad when you know it’s your heart they can’t touch.
There’s a reason why people don’t stay who they are
Cause baby sometimes love just ain’t enough.
Baby sometimes love just ain’t enough.
NDP 2005 The Future is Ours to Make
I went to NDP final rehearsal at Padang just now.
I saw the picture we took during 2001 when the whole class DICT 1A/24 went to Tioman for our holiday. (Though Desmond’s and Kaibin’s head was the most prominent indeed!)
I guessed the remaining of the 7000++ spectators saw the picture on the large display screen too.
In a way, I felt very proud of my polytechnic classmates/buddies/friends. Once again, we have made a difference due to Guoyong’s initiative to submit the group photo for selection.
Thanks Guoyong. You made my day.
Saturday Morning
I am tired today...brain is almost dead so there is nothing interesting to blog about.
Finally there is an opportunity for me to wake up at 10am in the morning tomorrow and the day after after 19 days of On/Off duty.
When I wake up tomorrow, I wish to see the sun shining brightly instead of darkness in the room.
That's is how much worth the value of waking up at 10am in the morning = Priceless
1030pm At Changi Airport Terminal 2

You know you have published too many post regarding about
One True Love inside when your friend's interest start to grow and enquiring you to show him pictures of
One True Love. You wait long long ar! Wait till the cow come home also don't let you see.I guessed it's time to tone down a little and that's why even though the picture above somehow bring back memories of times spent over there, I choose not to relate any story about her this time.
Everything should be at moderate level. Too much or too little of anything is bad for health. Understand fellow earthling?
When the Prodigal Sons went to Sing!

Today, me, Yuehong, Kim Pern, Keng Lim and Xinda sung
5 hours of KTV, downed 2 glasses of lemon honey, ate 9-10 plates of tibits and paid $63 for all of above. (
Sorry there was no China KTV Hostess servicing us, there were no special service available for us because KBOX don’t provide such service. Ciao!)
We sung
Chinese song, English song, Hokkien song, Off-Key song…basically I think the opposite room must have thought they heard 5 frogs croaking. It is my 3
rd time singing KTV btw. I know I cannot sing well but it’s all in the good name of fun and enjoyment.
Tomorrow is a very special day for me. Nope…it’s not my birthday, it’s not the day I’m getting engage, and it’s not the day I’ll be saying to any other female the 3 word: “ I **** You” ( Fill in the star yourself)
Tomorrow 220705 is my 1 year anniversary since I enlisted in the army during last year 2004. I will be compiling photos taken, experience learnt, wonderful stories shared, funny people known , struggles been through , heart being wrenched into half and happiness gained. It is going to take time and effort and hopefully by this weekend Saturday, it can be published inside my blog. Stay tune for this post if you are interested in army stuff. For those who don’t like reading long post…this is definitely not your cup of tea.
I will be going to town tomorrow to scout for a present for Sinyee 21st birthday. I think I wasn’t thinking exactly right when I volunteer to be a co-coordinator for the guys. Nevertheless, I will try my best effort to produce a present that will come useful for her, something that can either enrich her knowledge (Maybe a book “How to be a good girlfriend/wife/mother”) or maybe something that can come in handy (pepper spray perhaps because she is such pretty lady others will find it hard to resist? I told you I wasn’t thinking exactly right liao…)
Whatever the case. I shall expect her to give me a Thank You KISS when she receives the present because I am going to town tomorrow ALONE while others are slacking! (But I’m not sure whether Chee Hui will bash me up… Haha)
Boys/Guys of Class 4E1 2000

Class Monitor Kelvin handing the poster to Ruihang. No...men don't cry because they know tough time don't last, tough men do.
Ruihang left for Australia on Tuesday and being a very thoughtful friend Arjun compiled photos whom we took over the years, selected the special ones and made it in a form of mini poster! There were some photos which I didn't even remember taking.
There are just something which money just can't buy no matter how much you afford and the picture above says it all.

When human and dog are of same level...

There is this incident that happened inside the camp last Saturday. If you all remembered, it was raining cats and dogs when the sky decided to open up and pours early in the morning. Most of my friends, including me were caught in the heavy rain on our way to camp. We heard that a dog has been caught inside the cages/trap we set up to catch those strays dog. As any kind soul would have done, my friend from another platoon went to fetch the groundsheet and covered it over the cage so that the stray dog has at least some form of shelter to protect itself from the rain.
The rain got lighter and dropped to a drizzle. My platoon decided to shift the cage from the open area to the back of the guardhouse so that we can get easy access to the dog. Apparently, we have to feed the dog as well as care for it because the cage will only be brought away on Monday. At first sight, it was an fcuking pathetic black dog which I have never seen around the base before. Therefore it’s no wonder that it is the only dog that is so bloody fcuking stupid to be trap inside the cage because of an apple. While we are moving the cage, the “resident” dog starred at us from afar. I looked at him, he looked at us, we observed each other for a few moments before we (We the human, not the dog) get on with our business.
The black dog was in shock I suppose. It was peeing all over the cage. We stuffed the green thick thick, woody woody army towel, some water and food for the dog. It curled out into the corner of the cage and looks listless with flies flying around his body. I suspected the dog is sick and infected. But there is only so much we can do for the dog and I left it at there while I went and play PS 2.
I went and take a look at the dog again around 1pm. The cage stinks like hell because of all the pee and waste. I buay tahan the smell, I buay tahan the fcuking pathetic dog, I buay tahan the lunch provided, I went to take a pail of water and rinsed the cage to get rid of the pee. I think this is the least I can do for the dog before it will be send to the SPCA on Monday to die.
By the next morning, the fcuking pathetic black dog was gone. It just disappeared from the cage. Wat the fcuk..either the dog is smart enough to bang its body against the cage to escape or someone else has set it free. Perhaps the dog was just not meant to die, perhaps the dog still have unfinished business to attend to before it die, we don’t know and whatever the case we don’t care because our priority is to protect the base; not to trap dogs, move it here and there and take care of it.
The aftermath was super duper powerful. The top management were not pleased the dog escaped/set free. They berated us for not watching over the dog properly. Guard com got scolded, questions were asked, and suspicious eyes were cast; all because of the fcuking pathetic black dog! Do you really expect us to stand guard beside the cage 24/7 till Monday so that to ensure the dog remain inside the cage?
Sometimes, I think we human are more pathetic than that black pathetic dog. So there… Black pathetic doggie; where ever you are, whatever name you are call…you better don’t get your ass back inside our camp because we can’t even protect our own ass, much less yours. Understand? You think you come inside let us move you around; you think you come inside let me clean your cage very fun issit? Next time you shall not be so lucky because not everyday is Sunday OK!
